    Tranny
    Engine

    Nothing major (sarcasm)
    hahahahaha

My brother’s tranny went out of warranty. It was cheaper to buy a Scion xD. He says he’s now a Toyota driver. He wants an older Taco has his next vehicle. The xD has had virtually no maintenance in his years of ownership. His Mini had many, many issues.
My father takes his Countryman in every few months for issues. His tranny has been replaced, for free.

I was told (take that for what it’s worth ... hahahahaha) that the S can have sudden engine detonation- as in the cylinder exiting the hood. I know of 2 cases (seen images) of holes in the hood from the engine parts exiting (didn’t confirm was the cylinder & not the cams, etc- but owner insisted was a cylinder or 2).
Edit- I don’t know how stock or modified these were either.

    Buy one!
They are a blast! Esp the John Cooper Works S.
Just don’t expect 10 years of trouble free life, & nothing like the 20-40 years of Toyota trucks.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
The FFV was in the same size range and was used for typical residential delivery.

This is where I’m thinking if I should buy or lease, especially considering the engine going kaboom...

    Couple things.

    It's been modded already.
Red brake calipers and the red striping in the engine bay.
Who knows what else. Probably a mid muffler delete.

    Not the greatest color.

Sunroof. Just one more thing to go wrong. Either the electronics or it leaks.

Also...6spd. You know the shit I went thru with my 6spd. If it hadn't been under warrenty, I woulda been out a few thousand $$ to have that tr6060 rebuilt.

Price seems a bit high for miles.
Also it's dusty as all get out inside.

2015's (1st year scat pack) were notorious for leaky radiators and major rear diff whine.
Sometimes owners having to fight dealerships to have FCA replace them.

    Not a fan, I'd pass.

    That's not my old one.
    Plus no shaker, wrong color.

    Hey, experts ....

This thread randomly vanished from my new post list. So, I miss days of posts.

    Is that typical?
Can I adjust something on the forum to help?

Not sure if it's the same thing but alot of times I don't even get notifications on my mobile unless I'm tagged or someone quotes me. I just click on my notifications and start at the last one.

    Thanks, man!

Seems to happen daily for me. 90% of my watched threads do not give me new post alerts.

Sorry to hear that, man. Enjoy those trips while you can!

So sorry to hear that man. I know she cherishes these moments. Really wished dogs lived longer - they are such a big piece of our lives while they are here.

Sorry to hear about Lola, Booty.. my Golden retriever is 14 and starting to show his age. I'm preparing myself for the inevitable, but it's going to be tough. Lola looks like a wonderful dog.. I'm sure you have all kinds of great memories with her.

On a lighter note, any of you fish around the Edisto River? My buddy just bought a jonboat. We're looking for some freshwater to put it in and we don't really know the area.
