Favorite Whiskey?

I used to know a guy who ran a liquor store but not sure if he’s around anymore. I should ask Eric, he’s got a guy for EVERYTHING.

My six pack of plain Glencairns arrived so I'm giving neat a go. I'm a little worried, that it didn't even phase me lol. I was a sailor though. First pour of OGD 114, then a pour of Baker's 107.

Might go back today and see if I can snag that 1.75 of Buffalo Trace. I am going through those bottles pretty quick. Really want to source some more EHT. Well, the affordable ones anyway.

 

Had a pour of this at a small shop today. It's still just a distilled spirit at this point, but tasted like a young Islay. They should have a proper whisky out next year. It's a private selection from Adelphi. Their private bottlings are pretty popular over here (Denmark). Wish they'd hit our shores. Cost about $115 for 700ml here with exchange rate. For any of the prices that are visible, it is about 6.5 DKK for a dollar.



Each of the shops I've gone to has had a really impressive array of private selections. If I had a couple grand and a big enough suitcase...







This is a whisky made here in Denmark. The brand had received high marks. I think the malted rye will be coming home with me.

 

i bought a set of those from a coworkers birthday. Waiting on a report. I might get some myself.

 

Just so you know if you ever want a set with anything you choose etched on them let me know and we will take care of you. The TW ones will be just for here but we can do anything you want.

 

All of the sudden Buffalo Trace is getting harder to find in Nebraska...for months it was beyond readily available, so I grabbed one to keep me warm until it's back. I also picked up a bottle of Widow Jane 10 year, I've heard good things and excited to try it, definitely not cheap but I wanted to try it before it was gone.

If those prices are in Krone, that's not half bad at $300ish.

Just found this thread. I'm a big fan of bourbon. Had many enjoyed most.

Normally I'm not a fan of flavored bourbons, but I gotta say they got this one right.

 

Late to the EW white bottle party but for 9.99 today... Had too. Not bad at all for $10

Had a pour of this at a friend's place last night after dinner. I'm digging these private selection scotches. I think I'll pick up one from Adelphi to take back with me, but will otherwise be shopping these private bottlings when I get home.
