209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

If you take off the top hat/spacer the angle should get better. Maybe I'm lost on the issue.

 

I feel stupid, I don't get it

 

They're preload spacers, which is why the ride is so rough.
I've already been contacted by a few unnamed individuals that have bits to replace with, and I also have the ProComp stuff that came off of mine (which will be fully warranty replaced soon too), so yes those spacers will be gone soon enough.

 

This boot is still rubbing, so that groove will get worse, and eventually be a tear that will destroy the CV itself.
Once I slide the boot out a bit, it'll prevent the new rubs, and it should be good for a while.
If yours is currently rubbing, the groove is only going to get worse, and it'll cause issues soon.

 

Rob, I don't think those are pre-load spacers. Those spacers appear to be above the top hat, which would not load the spring. If it's riding rough, I think it may be that the shocks are done.
