Personally, I won't buy anything from Cali-Raised after reading a few responses from him in the past. Don't have references off hand but that's just my personal view. I haven't seen anything to establish their lighting is any better than what you'd get of eBay or Amazon whereas Rigid, KC, and BD have all be thoroughly tested and abused. I can spare the cash so I'll willing to pay for the quality and reliability. If I wanted to be cheap I see no reason not to get the Amazon special lights, re-seal them, and just replace them when they die.

Rigid's Radiance scene lights are the only ones I can vouch for first-hand and they're solid. Dunno how bright you want them but I do like that they fall off pretty quickly so you're not blinding anyone else in camp.

Anyone know if Tepui offers a TW discount? I’m trying to talk myself into their siesta mattresss but man if that isn’t expensive. I could save a bit of $ if I went with the Exped duo which from what I am reading is insanely comfortable.

I dunno but I'd love to find a way to try that mattress out. We just did the Exped duo but I'd much rather just swap out the mattress and have a single solution instead of dealing with deflating the Exped every morning. It's only an extra 1.5 in but it might be enough to make the difference.

How long does it take for the Exped to inflate and how many pumps of the pump do you find you need? I don’t want to spend a lot of time waiting for it to inflate and/or pumping it up. If I get to camp late I’m just going to want to crash.

They have a foam center so mine seems to inflate within about 30 minutes in the RTT but it takes longer, an hour or more, if it's been rolled up a while in the bag. The pump is a weird one and it takes some time from zero but it's quick to top off the last bit.

It's honestly why I'm interested in the Siesta... it's fine when you get in to camp and plan on sitting down a while to cook and eat but if you want a quick sleep, you're probably looking at 10 minutes to pump it up.

Ok see that just confirmed my biggest fear; that with the added weight of the bedding in the tent on the mattress the EXPED would take a while to inflate. I don’t always get to camp super early with time to kill, and I’d be furious if I had to wait for it to inflate or break out a hose from my on board air to inflate it, in the pouring rain in the middle of the night. Not that that’s ever happened to me before....

I know that amount of money is nuts to me. But I guess when you’re out the money in your bank account won’t help you sleep. Well maybe it will but that’s not the point.

True. What’s your plan, just cut it to size and slip it inside the mattress cover?
