Well, the turtle is getting a new trans here in a couple weeks. Found one in AZ for 175 plus 300 shipping.. Not bad for a trans with 78k Miles on it. Should be way nicer than my 250k mile trans. Might even tear my old one apart just to take a look inside..

Texas is an “at will” state. I can legally fire people for the reason of “I wanted to.” Perfectly legal, and pretty fucked up.

 

If you have the funds send it off and have it rebuilt with upgraded parts

 

Any idea of a company that rebuilds R155 trannys?

Shop around talk to people I'm.sure somebody with a 800hp drag taco had upgraded their trans at one point

 

If you ever see a mechanic shop that is a total mess, it's likely the same thing. They only get paid by the job. A job should take X amount of time, so they'll get X amount of pay. Example: oil change should be a 20 minute job, the employee will get 20 minutes of pay regardless of how long it takes. Same thing, I only get paid for flying or student instruction.

That's how I got paid as a tech. It was awesome. I could clear $1400 on a good week, or less than $500 on a bad one

That's how dealership mechanics get payed by how many jobs they get done that's probably why they don't like looking for problems with electrical or working on Prius's
