    It could be! And maybe I don't even have to relocate the bumper the whole inch. Maybe 1/2 or 3/4 inch is enough to reduce the gap and keep the hitch in the same position. That is good to me! Hey, man! Thanks for your help!

    If you dont care about raising the hitch, I think I can make you a couple brackets that will lift only the bumper, just gimme a couple dsys

    Hey, thanks a lot, bro! But I think that it's not possible to make a bracket for the bumper only. The hitch and the bumper mount are attached to the same fucking piece and to make it even worse, It is welded to the hitch. :facepalm:

    There is another way, the hitch Is welded to that bracket, but the bumper is not, believe it or not they are 2 different pieces, I've had my bumper off on more than one occasion, gimme a couple days and I'll get you dialed in

    Back in the day me and a buddy did a 2” body lift on his first gen. Instructions told us to take the bumper brackets and flip them over and swap sides with them. It worked perfectly. With the 1” lift it may be different though.

    The problem is that I have the OEM hitch and is welded to the bumper bracket. :(

    You can get this "https://www.ebay.com/itm/233069634906". It's the bracket that comes with Tacoma without tow package.

    Thats what I did . Mine had no OE hitch so I cut the bracket straight up just to the front of the oblong hole, moved it up an inch welded it back together ( the split end is the front of the bracket ). I added an after market hitch that reinforced the whole thing . I made the cut parallel to the oblong hole that way you go straight up one inch and gusset it how ever you like.

    It's not welded to the bumper bracket, that's the hitch bracket

    I think that they used the same bracket for the hitch and the bumper. I was today below the truck and this is all I could see. I can take more pics if you want. :)

    I get it, I have the same set up on my 06 DCSB prerunner and I e had the bumper off atleast 10 times, the most recent was to spray it with tintable bedliner about a month ago, it comes off separate from the hitch

    Here u go,
    8=12mm bolts
    2=10mm bolts
    2=17mm bolts
    4=19mm bolts
    To get the bumper, reinforcement bar off. Then there are 1 hole on each side of the reinforcement bar that can be drilled out 1 inch lower with alittle cleaning on the back side of that hole. The other hole is to low to simply re drill. I would weld a tab on it and drill a hole in that, it's as simple as 2 holes on each side, and as you can see, my hitch is still bolted to the frame.20190510_063552.jpg 20190510_063622.jpg 20190510_063947.jpg 20190510_064317.jpg 20190510_064824.jpg 20190510_065233.jpg 20190510_071041.jpg 15574979082283554515126397280853.jpg

    Holy shit! Thanks a lot, buddy! You are the best! I really appreciate all what you have done to help me! :bowdown: So, the idea is just to move those 2 holes 1 inch down on the bar. You know what? Maybe it's a good idea if I try to find one in a junk yard. What do you think?
