Going to be making a local For Sale Thread in the next couple of days to help pay stuff for her so they don't steal it all.

Bought a spicer carrier bearing. Was only 63 bucks and appears to be exactly the same as the toyota ones (which are around 190 bucks) based on online reviews. Should be arriving saturday. That will help determine if a trans replacement is in my near future

Is the trans getting significantly worse?

Its getting to be a nuissance but doesnt appear to be getting worse very quickly. Its about the same as it has been.. I cant drive in 3rd around 30-40mph at very little to no throttle or i get a rattling/vibration. Ive been just putting it in 4th and kinda lugging along, but i dont like doing that. Also has a bad vibration/rattle when decelerating in 3rd from around 2600-2100rpms. Makes engine braking pretty much not possible..

Im worried about it leaving me stranded out in the boonies more than anything. Not an issue while i daily drive it, but it's not going on any trips anytime soon till i figure this out.. Just dont trust it with 250k miles

That sucks mang. I replaced mine over a year ago (as you know), it had a shudder in 1st right off the lot when accelerating hard and about 5 years later was popping out of 2nd gear if I didn't keep my hand on the knob, and was pretty hard to engage most gears. Moral is probably replace your fluid very often. This new trans has been great though, super buttery and no vibrations.

Did you have any vibrations while decelerating in gear? Whats weird is that mine seems to shift just fine.. i did just put a brand new clutch in it about 2500miles ago so that could be why. It wasnt wanting to go into gear before that

I don't think I had deceleration in gear, no. Yeah a bad clutch can do that too, I think my trans went because I had the clutch set wrong actually (was attempting to compensate for the accumulator).

Yessir, this one's 2wd. The real fun one is 4wd:D

2wd trans swaps are way easier though.. actually not dreading it this time around. I think last time i dropped it to replace the pilot bearing i had it all back together in maybe 3-4 hrs. This time will be even quicker since all i have to do is swap the clutch fork & tob over.. hoping this solves the vibrations:fingerscrossed:

Tail shaft/output shaft on my trans is leaking anyways so its time for some maintenance

Replacement trans went in tonight. Took me 2 hrs and 45 minutes from start to finish. The input shaft on my old trans looked pretty worn compared to the new one. Good news is that the vibrations i was getting while accelerating appear to be gone. Bad news is the vibes during deceleration are still there. Drivability is improved though so id say it was a success. Also pulled the trigger on an aFe intake today. Its one that is discontinued, they claim 10hp and 12ft lbs of gains, hoping it improves throttle response a little

Called LCE today and told them whats going on. I am about 99.99% sure its the pressure plate or flywheel causing these stupid vibrations. Waiting to hear back from their manager, but hoping theyll fix me up
