Did Toyota just give up on this?

It seemed like TOYOTA was pushing this toyota truck logo like crazy now I never see it. Did they give up on this logo? Come to think of it you don't really see many toyota truck ads these days.

Has anyone replace the toyota oval logo with the truck logo?

That's Toyota's heavy truck division.

 

Maybe but they were flashing that logo on all the 05 tacoma ads like the one with the meteor.

Toyota bought Hino in 2003 when they decided to get serious about trucks. The 2nd gen Tacoma and Tundra were styled by Hino, and they had considerable input into the design/engineering process as well.

Hino currently makes the FJ.

If it's a Toyota truck, it's probably more Hino than not.

 

This market segment was gift-wrapped for Toyota. They probably are spending the marketing dollars elsewhere. Too bad, I love that logo and the adds.

Nice! I did a search but did not find those pics. The badge turned out really nice... i was not sure how to handle making it into an oval instead of a octagon. I like your solution best of both worlds.

I was watching some motocross racing on Speed yesterday and that Toyota truck logo was on the top left of the screen as their main sponsor. So it's still out there...
