    Ain't that the damn truth! They pop up in clouds around here. Pretty much rinsing the truck off every day for the past week or so.

    You must be on the gulf coast. They finally finished up in South Louisiana. Time for the first wax job.
    We bought the Tacoma and a Honda Pilot two days later. Seems like we have cleaned them daily since e we got them.

    @Steemax

    The Hideaway was really easy. I used these Metra harnesses: 71-1761 & 70-1761. They're connected together, matching the colored wires on each half. One end of the new harness plugs into the factory harness and the other into the head unit.

    I spliced the Hideaway's input wires and remote wire into the newly created Metra harness. The input wires are connected to the grey and white front door speaker wires, and the remote wire to the blue/white amp turn-on wire. The remote wire for the sub is short, so it had to be extended.

    The power wire for the sub is routed through the large firewall grommet just to the side of the brake booster. I poked a small hole in it with a sharp pick, and pulled the power wire through by attaching it to some floral wire that I fished through the hole. The ground wire for the sub is attached to one of the seat mounting bolts.

    I ran the input and remote wires from the sub under the console and behind the dash. The power wire runs through the existing cutout in the carpet, under it to the door sill trim, and behind the kick panel to the firewall.

    This thread is a great reference: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-premium-upgrade-kicker-key-180-4-amp.541375/

    And the Hideaway is indeed under the driver seat.

    The panel is mounted inside the cubby compartment. I don't expect to get much water in there. There are 3 drain holes in the back even is some did splash inside.

    I just wanted to say that earlier I didn't mean anything about putting the flag decals to the rear of the tacoma badge. it was an honest question I just didn't completely think about it before posting. in no way shape or form would I disrespect the flag in anyway. I know that there are many sacrifices people have given and I love the flag. sorry for such an idiotic question fellas.

    Drove back and forth between Longwood and Deland twice this week. I could cut the bugs and serve you a slice since they were so layered on. The 2-3 mile stretch crossing over Lake Monroe on I4 was brutal, like a fog

    Just Picked up my Plates and the Title for my truck! Dealer took about 4 weeks to get it in.
    Also! 4WP Just called and said my Lift, rims, and tires are in. Going to pick it up tomorrow!
    I'll probably hold off on installing it until I put at least 500 mile on the truck.
    Mounted my Caliraised switch plate, an all time on USB battery indicator, and got a new oil cap.

    Lubricated my front drive shaft u-joints. Disappointed I don't have 5. The sound of replacing the old crunchy grease was satisfying.

    Also, tightened up my leaf spring u-bolts. The minimum was 25 ft/lb loose and maximum 35 ft/lb.
