    +1 on this...

In having done the research I have in the past week or so, that is 100% what I would do and not look back. I think that might work for the OP, so once he gets passed the much deserved frustration with his new truck, well then it just comes down to a simple decision doesn't it.

You are right. I didn’t know about this site at the time. I just googled 2019 Tacoma problems.

We have a RAV4 Lexus es350 and a 4 runner. They all drive great. You are telling me that Toyota designed this truck to drive like this. Can’t believe a company like Toyota designed a truck with these problems.

Come on guys really the TSB update is the answer? NOT NOT and NOT. Its Toyotas temporary bandaid that will fall off after a few days. Get the the OV Tune and experience what that engine and transmission are capable of and be done with the misery and internal beatings you're giving yourself for buying what is probably the best all around truck made. Getting the tune will turn that frown upside down guaranteed. Hell I'm so happy now I frequently see butterflies and unicorns when I start mine up.

Will this void the warranty. I have a 10 year extended warranty on this truck.

It’s been out for awhile now and I have yet to see a report where that happened.

After reading your complaints I am so happy I went with just a basic 4cyl 4&4 Sr . I have no problems and I live in the mountains

I just watched a video on it and that’s what I need. Seems like they fixed all the problems listed.

I hear you, but from the responses thus far, you can see what your options most likely are.
I don't have a problem with it, just saying that you're not really moving forward in this thread.... and the trolls will be back to muck it up again.

I find it hard to believe the Limited trim transmission is governed. Any facts to back this up, or can anyone else chime in, I dont believe this...

As I stated earlier in this thread the OV Tune is easily deactivated with a few clicks from a laptop if you're worried it may be detected from the dealership which is HIGHLY unlikely. They would have to dive deep into the ECU codes and be actively searching for a "tune" that they heard through there brother's wife's uncle that you had installed. But again for those whom are worried about a warranty issue the tune can be deactivated and reactivated with ease. Hope that helps..if not...head over to the OV thread and see what's being said.

OP is this your first Toyota? I ask, and its definitely off topic, but you bought a 10 year extended pure dealership profit margin. Factually proven to be the most dependable truck on the market there really is no need for one. Now if you are coming from a Ford, Chevy or especially anything Ram or Dodge then I completey understand the fear of not having one lol.

Installed the shift sense pro yesterday. This is how the truck should have operated. Love it. Best 175 bucks I ever spent.
