Hey Guys... Did you noticed it was only 3 offences under 5k? Did everyone involved contact the OPP? Why is it so few offences? Way more people have been hit...

It could also be the crown is only prosecuting their three strongest cases against him. If they're successful or fail there is nothing stopping them from charging him with other offences apart from those three.

 

It is way more than 3 offences....Very weird. Unless he had paid people back, or they did not count giving a product (broken or poorly made) to the customer....

I was personally paid back, but there are number of people who do not have a product nor their money....

I have received my subpoena. I am looking forward to seeing the criminal in court and testifying against him. Maybe I'll do a little skiing while I'm there.

Hard to say. I know for sure @Tridet167 and @Joe23, but this was also shared over Facebook so it’s possible a lot of people called and filed as well. At least you would hope.

Wonder if Nate reads this thread? I do know he's a piece of $h!T... I called to file a report for the $475 he took from me...with no delivery and a bunch of excuses, But the officer said I would need to show in court. I live in California. So I didn't file. I just hope he gets his in return.

 

Have to love how are legal system works. Almost costs more to get justice than the injustice itself.

 

Agree. The system should be I show up at your door with an invoice and police. You have been given 30 days and if no payment, you will be arrested. Period. Fuck filing court papers. The time off work to file papers for various steps and fees will far exceed most small claims. I still don't understand how all the years he did it, not one crazy didn't end up at his door with a baseball bat. I guess 4wd community is too nice.

 

Looked up the address and looked at google street view. Place looks abandoned with a for sale sign out front, hopefully financially ruined.

 

He was living out of a trailer for a while with his family. Certainly a shitty situation for all of those affected by his poor decisions.

 

Yeah, what sucks in these cases is that it’s not just the thief who ends up punished. The kids also end up living worse lives and if the parents don’t clean up their act it can really limit the opportunities the kids get until they’re out on their own.

 

I don't mean to make his wife look bad but if she was better than he was, she would have done what was better for her kids. You have to know that sooner or later all of this would catch up to them. The writing was on the wall and she let him keep doing it. When I served him at that house, she answered the door and didn't know where he was. She wasn't even curious to ask what I wanted to speak to him about. She knew what he was up to and played along, the way I see it.
