First of all check you alignment. But if you're ready to buy UCA's do that first it will save you money on alignment, Try getting a set of SPC UCA's from Headstrong. You can get them for $475 shipped to you!

Depending what you are using your truck for spacer lift might be O.K. (Not everyone has the money to spend on an expensive lift) But I would recommend that you save a little money in the future and get a set of 5100's. Probably the best bang for your buck.

If you're interested you can check out the link in my sig and read up on lifts and the importance of UCA's for alignment.

    Welcome to TW!

Hope you enjoy the new truck!

Please research what ever you are going to do before you do it. You will save tons of money. Education is key when doing this kind of thing.

Just purchased JBA UCAs for my lift that I am doing next week. The quality looks good and you can replace parts and grease them. Seem to be cheaper than SPC UCAs also.

Hmmm that’s what I thought, maybe I read the earlier post a little different.

Just never really paid attention to them. Swapped mine the first week I got my truck for 5100s just like others on a budget. But when the time came, I made sure I made the right investment.

Yep All the models can be had in 2wd or 4wd except the Pro. (Not positive about the SR?) But I know the SR5 come in 4wd and 2wd.

Well when I was doing research on the early 2nd gen UCA's I came across problems with the design of both Camburg, and Light Racing (Now SPC) But they have since corrected these issues.
JBA may look well built. But it really depends on how well they did their homework?
Not saying they are good or bad?
Just saying that you can't judge a book by it's cover!
The Ebay UCA's look just as solid as any out there! Even have replacable bushings. But more than likely you will get what you pay for?!
Will those companies do what ever it takes to make it right if a problem is discovered in their design???
    Camburg did, and SPC did!
Total Chaos and other UCA's have angle limitations. Although the can articulate better than the stock. But their angle when installed on a lifted truck is almost at it's full extent.
Back in the day I actually was messing around with mis alignment spacers to see if I could correct the angles. It worked out fairly well. But I never did extensive R&D because soon after I ended up selling the truck.
But here's a few spacers I made for the Total Chaos UCA's:
    IMG_0545_ef97ce5764081d02d1f1d48e4daacce635c92bd1.jpg IMG_0554_4cea00b8608f7f6f61abed26eb8bf419f50cf74f.jpg IMG_0556_a6a5d9a056f27febe8ed292aa919584e32a64c4d.jpg

But there so many other factors to consider it's not as simple as just tweaking one part and solving all you issues.

In fact I think I still have these spacers sitting in my shop somewhere?

    But I'm getting off topic.

Hope it works out for the OP.

If you need any other info please feel free to ask!
    Have a Great Night!

Irregardless of off-roading a spacer lift, especially one that is that large is generally a bad idea and is only a matter of time before problems occur.

Things to consider when lifting is the Driver side needle bearing has a tendency to fail so it’s recommended to replace it with a bushing.

It’s recommended to stay under 3” of lift in the front.

Aftermarket UCA are often needed to correct caster when lifted over 2” as the stock ones won’t get you close enough.

Uniballs UCA are nice but are designed for racing and are expected to be regularly serviced and often squeak. Lower maintenance Moog UCA like JBA and SPC are lower cost, lower maintenance and are designed for reliability and endurance.

Front suspension lifts are either an adjustable strut or coilover and range in price. The rear can be lifted with add a leafs or full pack replacements.

I recommend doing some research on the forum and collecting as much data as you can. There are a lot of opinions on the forum and not all of them are educated.

    Your truck your money.

My uniballs don't squeek, I've had them for over 30k miles. I do maintain them which I guess you could say is a negative, but I don't mind. I paid a lot for them and I want to take care of them.

If you dont have enough for 5100s you dont have money to fix problems that can come with a spacer lift, or really any lift. You probably cant actually afford the truck you drive.....

That is great! Sadly they do for most people, it's a consistent enough complaint that needs to be mentioned.

    Ah the American consumer story!
Not too many people walk into a dealership and pay for a truck in Cash!
I bet over 90% of the people here are doing mods on their trucks while still having to pay for a loan on their truck. (Do you?)
So if he's being responsible and not trying to over extend himself by buying something he doesn't truly needs. (a full Blown Top of the line 3" lift kit) If all he needs for his truck is a spacer lift? Then that's up to him!

I'm only here to help him make the best decision for himself! (Which isn't the best decision for everyone)
Only he knows what he can and can't afford?

It depends on what he uses his truck for?
