New truck prices are aways increasing. Used newer tacomas hold their vaue really well. Prices for the old tacomas never went down.

People who were 16 when the first gens were out are now 25-40 with jobs and money. Why not spend $20-30k less than on a new tacoma and get the truck you wanted at 16 that never seems to go down in value and is known for being reliable.

    Thats why I got mine.

if someone in their teen years now in my town ever sees me driving out and about i wonder if they think "damn is that a new style of truck?, i have never seen one around here like that nor have I seen the big block letters on the back" where do i get one of those small trucks at ... I actually saw a late '90s 2wd on the streets today that looked to be in very good shape, first time in a long time, have seen a couple of early 2000s models over the past week .. see quite a few 3rd gens (very hard not to spot those for better or worse...

Turns out the frame is rusty. It looks like someone maybe even Toyota coated the frame, but it was a botch job. I told them about the frame and they immediately said there is little room on the price. I said have a nice day and walked. Back to the drawing board for a daily Tacoma.
