Well, after a hiccup or two, I have veggies placed. 'Maters, cuc's, squash, mellons, and plenty of peppers. And as luck would have it, we got a nice, gentle rain all night long!

Just tilled the beds the other night, and put in sweet peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, pickling cukes, and two watermelon mounds. Need to get a few jalapeños and some bean seeds, then I’m done. Soil looks pretty good, not adding anything to it this year. Need to set a trap, ground hog took a liking to the broccoli already. I was going to have to cull some Broccoli anyway, started it from seeds, and had multiple stems per bunch.E72D5DA0-1D0A-48E8-AE92-12A0262F7883.jpg

    Tonight's forecast. Booo....

Annoying, because I transplanted my brussels sprouts, tomatoes, and peppers last weekend. And I've got direct-sown squash, pumpkins, and sunflowers that are poking through that'll have to get covered up tonight. Not to mention all of the flowers around the house in various beds. :frusty:

About a month out on the garlic. Stems are thickening up nicely.

Built a couple more raised beds over the weekend. Populated with a few hot peppers, couple of tomato plants and a cucumber.

    IMG_20190512_181200978.jpg

Evergreen raspberries in the little bed right behind, thornless blackberries & regular raspberries in the long bed at the back, strawberries down low in that one and in the one on the right with the blueberries.

That'll last until about halfway thru June, when you're getting lots of weeds but no veggies yet

A few pics of my yard and my Wave Petunias I took yesterday evening. I did have matching Bradford Pears in the front yard. But a storm took one of them out last year. The grass hasn't quite filled in where I had the stump removed. I put the Flags up for Memorial Day in honor of our fallen Veterans. :oldglory:

Also look over the condition of the grass. I got a little slack last year after having to have surgery. :anonymous:
