    Swapped from 91 1.04 running 93 to 1.05 87 perf/gearlock on 87....

At first tip in was off the charts especially with the 5.29 gears!!

3 tanks in and now every thing is groovy!

Honestly think it’s more about learning to redrive than anything!

    Thanks Mat!!!!

thx man....... I know it and as soon as I thought about it, I said, well that didn't do anything
I need techstream! derp! I've never had to do it before. Drove all over last night and
went through 1/2 tank and 93 base just doesn't do it for me. I'm going to end up trying
93perf again and it's crazy ass tip-in, maybe it will mellow out after several tankfulls, if not
it's back to 87 perf. + ECT mode which I enjoyed, was just hoping for the power increase
    on 93.

I feel like 93 octane is becoming more prominent now. A lot of gas stations around here just put in new 93 pumps

Does anyone know if the 1.05 perf tunes, 93 specifically, were updated since they first came
out a few months back? Before loading it this morning, I downloaded it again and The tip-in for
93 perf. feels nothing like it did the first time I loaded it a few months ago, just loaded up 93 perf (no ect) and
everything about it feels great, the head jerky tip-in...GONE.

There have actually been three different versions of the "1.05" tunes for my ECU since 1.05 first launched (04B30), so I think it depends on your ECU.

If you update to FM 1.2.2 you don't need techstream for anything.
Clear / resets etc are all available now.

Some ECU versions have been updated since 1.05 initial release, the files have not been renamed (in reference to post above). These were REQUIRED bug / issue fixes. Not optional stuff. (like rev limit / shift on 2019 trucks). This is NOT in regard to upcoming updates, I'm talking about previous changes.

    Right, sorry for Dongle-less.

These same features will be in dongle version as well.

I am on a trip from Cali to New Mexico. So I have to say 4.88's dont work that great, wish 5.29's were out when I made the gear decision. Running base tune on this trip. Gear dance very active on every incline. Have to use 4th gear way to much. Any head wind saps the momentum! I hope gear tunes help a lot. Never had to work so hard to drive down the highway.

Probably already somewhere - but is there a write up on 1.05 vs 1.05.1?

Not yet, we're all still waiting on the release of 1.05.1. Mat said he'll post related info once released.

So Dongle users don’t update to 1.2.2? Do we just update tune files as available? Thanks

Crickets?? I’m a black dongle and need to clear my $h1t also. About to turn 70k tonight on her and lately some days she feels like I’m pulling a boat and the next she’s quick and jumpy.

I am not dongle, but my truck goes through the same feeling. This week it has been a dog. I was thinking the same thing about clearing the values. I understand the ECU learning, but sometimes I wish it would just be consistent.

To clear everything w/o Techstream is simple: (1) reload the tune and then (2) after you've reloaded the tune, disconnect your battery for 15-20 mins. Finally reconnect the battery and drive as normal.

You don't need to wait that long. 1-2min. Disconnecting both terminals and touching them together for a few seconds speeds the process along.

It's already been said that it doesn't completely clear values. Only techstream, or the new flash manager.

I believe reversing the battery terminal will complete delete your wiring harness and possibly your truck too.
