Talk me out of getting a Yugo

I’m bored with my Tacoma. It never breaks down and I’m tired of getting compliments on it. Been looking at a Yugo to occupy my time and money. I thought about a Ford Ranger but... Please help. LOL!

If you can find one with more than 30,000 miles you should buy it. That’d be the only one!

I'm probably one of the few people on the forum that ever owned a Yugo. It was free. It was about what you'd expect, but it was actually a fun city car for darting through traffic and parking in tiny spots. Absolutely horrible on the highway. Surprisingly reliable until my sister broke a syncro in the trans and it was junked.

 

My best buddy in high school had a pinto. We went everywhere in that thing. It’s a miracle we’re alive...

 

The old Volkswagen bugs with the battery under the back seat was a fun fire hazard also.

Especially if a "great big fat person" got in the back seat without the battery cover installed.

Come on man, Pintos were hot.

And they could actually run pretty strong too.......... if you knew the motor tuning tricks. You know, pre laptops.
