He was riding way too close. I wonder what he had to say when you got out to talk. Did you mention the dash cam? lol

Great footage. Dashcams should be standard in America IMO, don't know how but it should. Glad you guys are ok.

Safer just to let of the gas and coast until near stop. In case someone else may have a dashcam. If you brake check you can be found at fault.

What an idiot, I hate people that tailgate

Hopefully, his car is heavily damaged. Glad you and the truck are alright!

Right? They were like 5 ft from their bumper a bunch of times, what a prick.

Can't stand divers who tailgate. Even if he was fully paying attention it would still be hard to stop while he's that close behind you. Hopefully they learn something from this.

Just an honest question about this part. Was there ever any doubt that they were at fault? Did they try to blame you at the scene?

I'm curious since I rationalized my way out of a rear facing camera because the question of fault in a rear end accident does not come up much, esp if you have forward view to justify your own actions?

    Thanks!

Personal injury lawyers are good to have in instances such as this.

I got out and told him he better not run... I told him if he wasn't following so damn close it wouldn't of happened.... I hope this taught him a lesson

I did tap my breaks a while back, but he didnt listen, we were driving in traffic, front cam was just someone stopped in front

No, I showed front cam to the officer , but they only wanted the rear footage front was nothing special since i just had to stop fast

We had ours installed for a few months... we have caught so much on cam already and we live on a island cant wait to move to the mainland in a few weeks

Thank you, I was very surprised having the body shop fix the truck was triple the money, vs new better bumper even with shipping we saved...
