I got the double cab just because of the grandkids, but have rarely used it. This is my 5th pickup, and the first that wasn't a single cab.

I've been saying since the Pro's came out that they should be an ACSB.

i got a 2018 TRD Sport DC. I have 5 & 2 year old kids. So a DC was a MUST. Didn't put much thought into short bed vs long bed though. I kinda just ended up with a short bed by default.
Glad i did though. A DC w/long bed to me, just looks kinda silly.

the meme is the first spot to disagree. it's you are, but that is neither here nor they're <--see what i did

you can negotiate on a vehicle that is custom ordered. hell, you could order it as msrp, not take delivery and they renegotiate if you really wanted to. although, i would tell you to pound sand.. but you could then go to a different dealer and work out a deal with the 2nd dealer... with the second dealer trading the 1st dealer for the truck. anyways, the point is, you can negotiate on a custom ordered truck.

Anything's possible. It's possible for me to fly to the moon next week, but it's not going to happen. Good for you if you're dealer is gonna be willing to cut you a deal on a custom ordered truck. Most will not. I guess it just depends on how many dealerships you're willing to go to. If you custom order a truck, you obviously REALLY want that specific configuration. The dealer will tell you to kick rocks when you try to negotiate. Also, thanks for pointing out the grammatical error in the random meme that came off the internet

The pro could have been so much more than what it is. And cement should have been exclusive forever.

Yeah there is a TON they could do on the Pro for what it costs. Instead, its defining feature is a grill that almost every Tacoma now has.

When the day comes that I no longer want a 6' bed I will no longer want a pick-up and I'll take that next step to a 4R.

I love access cabs. I went from a x runner access cab to dcsb 4x4 manual. Didnt read the rest of the pages but the reason I got a short bed was because no manual in any other 4x4 configuration. You can get a sport access cab in a manual?

As for regrets, I still wish I had a 6 ft bed but why if 5 ft works? Either way get what makes you happy if you're wallet can afford it!

3 bikes with 3 weirdos + gear works for me!

Yes, sport access cab 4x4 can be had with a manual transmission in the US.

It wasnt sarcasm. I'm amazed. Thought model 7545 was only manual 4x4 config.

Those lucky bastards in Canada can get an offroad 4x4 access cab with a manual transmission. We aren't so lucky in the states.
