I'm getting mixed answers but is there a way add speakers to the rear? That's the only thing i don't like about our utility package. Even though I only really notice the loss of rear sound on the highway.

Question for all you Util/Bearded Taco owners. Is the front black bumper cover painted, or is it textured plastic like (parts) of the rear bumper. Thanks!

Both bumpers are black plastic and unpainted.

a better way to eradicate this problem is to replace the shitty speakers that come in the truck with some aftermarket ones, and you won't notice the highway noise.

    Have you replaced your tweeters?

I replaced mine with the Kicker Toyota/Subaru kit. Its plug and play, takes about 30 minutes. HUGE upgrade. It transforms the sound in the truck exponentially.

Next will be door speakers for me, but I'll probably wait a few years for that. I was thinking about adding some in the rear, I imagine there should be room to stuff some in behind the factory plastic. But for $90.00 those Kicker tweeters are a necessity.

    The Subaru Parts number is

I'm curious...Does the Utility Package increase your payload? My truck has a sticker stating that added options decrease payload by 5 lb. Would the Utility package have a sticker allowing for EXTRA payload due to not having chrome or rear seats/belts, etc.?

My speaker guy tried to see if there was any pre-existing hookup wires for speakers but there wasn't any so he had to connect some and cut out some of the panel to put some mids in.

Just curious, what's the deal with our 8.75" rears, did all SRs get them, or only 4-cly equipped ones?

I posted this in another thread, but this one was sitting on a Georgia lot for a full 6 months. Originally thought it had only been there 2 months. Went and did a test drive this past Monday. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive and everything about it. 4 cyl. Thing just sold 2 days ago. We couldn't agree on the price out the door. Kinda regretting it now.

    Will keep looking.

That price was a bit high for a used 2wd, I wouldn't consider it a big loss.
