Island life is fun for a little bit but gets old, least for me. Tired of having to barge in all my truck stuff. I am transferring off Kodiak, AK and to NC soon. Can't wait to be back to the main land!

Why would he have to prove it? If he gets rear ended they are at fault. If they have an issue with it it’s on them to prove he didn’t and even then they were still following too closely.

Brake checking is illegal, everywhere, we all get that. Now if the driver who hit the brake checker can prove on footage that there was nothing obstructing the road when the car in front of him did this, then both parties are at fault. One for following too close and the other for brake checking. I just read this somewhere too not too long ago. At least in CA, that's how it works. And if you really want to go through the hassle of who's right an who's wrong over someone else being a bad driver, by all means. I'm just a point of view. Oh, and on another note. If you lie about something running in front of your vehicle and proven otherwise, it's fraud.

I for one would not want to deal with the time of insurance battles, having my truck in a body shop, dealing with diminished value etc. If it can be prevented from me not wanting revenge on the car behind me, I am going to prevent it.

Glad everything worked out in the end.

1/2 a car length distance at 40mph is just nuts.

Good luck finding an animal that talks. If somebody wants to ride my ass without sirens on top, good luck to ‘em!

Nice footage, bought a dog harness that clips into the seatbelt for a little peace of mind. A lot of aggressive drivers out there, especially in CA

Me too, I do 3 very short, very quick taps. Not enough to slow down but enough to flash my lights and let them have a warning that they are much too close for comfort. Most people do a good job and listen it's just a shame they're too stupid to get that close in the first place.

My Brother in law is in the Coast Guard and his last station was Kodiak but now he is in Camden NC. If you wind up going to Kodiak let me know as my niece still lives there and her husband is in Law Enforcement.

I'm thinking its probably just as expensive to get truck parts to Kodiak as it is to Hawaii...LOL
