    The 3.5L loses a lot of torque if the ACIS is open at low RPM and high throttle. It's definitely something that requires a dyno to find the optimal point.

    That's pretty interesting. What are the factory opening/closing points on the 3.5L?

    3650RPM. I actually have a whole write up on the ACIS dyno tuning. Opening it really early results is huge losses.

    The stock point is *pretty close* to optimal.

    When you buy a system I highly recommend buying braided lines. Pumps are fitted at manufacturers for either compression fittings or 6an.

    The first three runs were on the OEM ECU.

    The thick blue run, was done with the Haltech controlling the engine.

    I unplugged it, and zip tied it in one direction and did pull. Then the opposite. Then plugged it back in and did the next with it operating as is should from the factory.

    The intake and ecu functions were OEM. Thus the ACIS was functioning as designed. Independent of what internals the engine had inside. That operation is still observed and clearly follows all other cataloged N/A Dyno runs.

    Either I am confused or you all are. Long runners are for torque. Short for HP. Pop the hood and have someone rev the engine. Watch where it operates in conjunction to rpm. As well as tps if you can.

    I think the confusion is, does 1 (aka on) with HPTuners mean the intake runners are in the long position. And why is the intake runner not in the long position in the Low rpm High TPS range stock. Unfortunately dyno charts below 2k rpms are not common.

    This is what’s interesting, that all OEM cals show short runners (ACIS off) are used whether the Throttle is < or > than 60°.

    Interesting anecdote is that OV is seeing torque loss with the 2GR’s with the AICS on at low rpm. Hmm!

    Also, looks like a tipping point back to short runners (modding the mid-high zone boundary) to 4250ish could have some gains in that range like justdsm stated.

    Look at the logs I screenshotted earlier. You can clearly see ACIS difference between on and off.
    The log where airflow flat lines is with ACIS on (long runner greater than 4250).

    Big time, thats why i stated 4250 as it looks like from the dyno charts that torspd attached as well as your logs, moving it up a lil bit could be beneficial.
