@Tretiak30 , @bluewaters182 , @iwashmycar were all there, too, plus a few others. One of them may have the route. I tried to map it while we were driving it, but my GPS died right at the start.

@MeefZah gave me the maps once. It's right in my county, but he said half the roads are private roads or something and they only open them up like once a year for some benefit or something.

Anyone in the Dennison, OH area?
Parents and gram just moved there in January from Indiana.

I'll be driving up for a short memorial day weekend and want to find some areas to wheel.

I'll be in my Rubicon though as I tend to use the Tacoma for just local stuff.

My grandparents live in the area. No real places to wheel. If you're just up to have a nice, Tappan Lake is close to Dennison.

    I'll check it out.
I visited for a late Christmas 1st week of January and drove around a bit.

Didn't stay long as the furniture hadn't even been delivered from Indiana. Haha...not cool.
Not at all happy that they moved to Ohio as they had a sweet setup in Indiana.
Plus gram is 95 this year and dragging her around for the 3rd time didn't set well with me.

But the fam has hunting property in Zanesville near where that dude was shooting all those people years ago. So atleast my pops doesn't have to drive all that way to hunt anymore.

So if you go wayyyyyy back in this thread or search using my user name in this thread you should find some posts that have actual GPS coordinates of abandoned roads in the Coshocton / Tusc / Harrison areas.

Other search parameters in this thread with my user name would be "Beagle Club Rd", "Stone Quarry Rd", Bats Nest Rd".

The two trips we set up through TW involved (first) the area of Wills Creek and vicinity, south of Coshocton; and then the areas around Danville (second) so you could try searching for them, too.

I do not currently have any GPS coordinates for Ohio stuff saved but those posts will be a good start and should point to other stuff.

Those places are my backyard, so if you want someone to wheel with...count me in.

I wouldn't say it's a big project, if you use the advanced search and filter out some stuff you should be able to find those posts pretty easily. I don't really have a dog in the fight so I don't care to do it for you, but if you search this thread, only under my username, and using those terms you'll hit on those posts almost immediately.

Obviously you guys know there's not very much publicly accessible, legal off-road stuff in Ohio. It's either private, or you're looking at abandoned roads and the like. Almost all of my forays have involved abandoned roads and there are some that are fairly gnarly.

To be fair, all of the stuff that is listed previously in this thread is the stuff that I found simply by exploring. Take a day, grab a DeLorme Gazetteer, and go out and drive around. Explore stuff. Go down every little two track that you see and figure out where it goes. If it's cool, make a note of it. If it's a dead end, make a note of that. Before too long you'll have a pretty epic route sheet and people will be coming to you asking for it. I've done the same out here in Calif and I got guys who are lifers here asking me for trail suggestions.

Another option involves what they call the Trans Ohio Trail, which is about 1000 miles of roads linked together, most of which are dirt, and many of which are abandoned. On the ADV motorcycle forum there's information on how to access that route. It's not publicly listed, but if you send messages to the people that coordinate it they'll send you the GPS tracks. A lot of that would be ideal for a four-wheel drive trip.

Do you still have your enduro?? My uncle has a 1989 Suzuki 600 enduro that I might try to buy off of him. It's a pretty sweet bike and in really good shape for being the same age as me lol. Actually the bike is probably in better shape haha I wanna get her out and fixed up and get back into riding again
