Just also saw the drawer system too! Did you also make that? If so I’d be interested in seeing the specs. I’m pretty much looking for the same setup, just in a short bed

I didnt "create" it just rebuilt it. I found it on CL in terrible shape and redid the whole thing. Stripped it, repainted it, cut all new wood and shellac'd it, built the box and slide for the stove, used all new stainless hardware, repacked all the bearings for the slide etc. It was a fun project that works really well. Im in it for about $500 which is a nothing compare to buying a slide new. There are some things I would change, like swapping the stove slides for dual locking ones, but it works great. Dual locking 36" slides cost about what my entire slide cost me.

Wife has an appointment for her foot with my surgeon this afternoon. I just emailed a pic to my PT, but I think i might tag along with her to have them check it out.

    Nice!

How do you like the SoftTopper?

I have been giving one some serious thought - can you go through the car wash with them?

Thanks. So far I like the softtopper. The versatility is great. I love that you can fold it up or completely remove it in a few minutes. Also being able to roll up the sides so its like a bikini top on a Jeep is cool. It will even drive at highway speeds like that. I haven't slept underneath it yet but Im hoping it will work great as a "tent" haha. The only thing I wish is that it was more secure but I knew what I was getting myself into. I will probably buy a mesh rear window some day or maybe trim the plastic one so I can add a mesh screen.

As far as car washes, Im sure it would do fine in a touchless. I wouldnt go through a touch wash though. Softtopper doesnt recommend anything other than mild soapy water to clean it so be careful there. Its tough material but I wouldnt want harsh chemicals prematurely wearing it down.

:rofl:Man that gave me a chuckle. We never really forget the shitting face, we just save it for when there’s a 10mm nut somewhere you can’t see, but can totally feel and need to get an open end wrench on it, but it doesn’t quite fucking line up no matter how you come at it...

Back in das boot, or the brace until I can find the boot. Hopefully the swelling calms down in the next few days. Doc at least wasn't concerned about infection which was my worry.
