Did you take the knob apart or just tape off the sides? And did you just dye the stitching? Looking to do them same to mine

Yep took it apart & painted the red pieces with a self etching black paint then a few coats of silver. MESO has a great video showing how he gets the knob apart.

Doing the stitching has taken several coats with a fabric marker to get it to really soak in.

Radtrd… How do you like your N-fab Podium steps? Did the front mudflaps interfere with install? Someone at N-fab told me they won't fit with mudflaps, but I have seen them on this site along with yours. Thanks

Removed my scratched and dented rear fender, did some paintless dent repair (which worked decently) and replaced with an OEM flare which costs way too much money.

Installed a URD short shifter tonight ... a bit of a PITA to get in, but totally worth it. Did have to sacrifice a pair of wrenches (why do they send 13mm nuts when the old bolts were 12mm?), but otherwise very straightforward install. Love the shorter throw!

Finally got to install an RCI Transfer Case skid plate. It ended up being harder than I anticipated, mostly due to poor instructions. But thankfully there are YouTube videos out there.
    P1033643.jpg

Finally got them out of the plastic, 3 months later... P1033644.jpg

    P1033645.jpg

You have to remove these exhaust/cat converter guards first. One on each side:
    P1033646.jpg
    P1033647.jpg

    P1033648.jpg
    They were a bit dusty
    P1033649.jpg

I used a floor jack to help hold up the RCI Cross Member piece. (working alone)
    P1033650.jpg

Ok, here comes the odd part. This wasn't mentioned in neither the video I found, nor the paper instructions. Anyway, my '18 OffRoad had these plastic shroud pieces. They are there most likely to protect the inside of the frame from most of the elements. (I think). On the Driver's side, I was able to leave it alone. However, on the Passenger side, I had to remove it temporarily. This is because on the Passenger side, you have to use the provided nut and washer to hold the bolt in, as there is no bolt there originally.
    P1033652.jpg

After removing the plastic shroud piece, I removed the sticker that concealed the hole. It's used for the provided bolt to go through, that holds the RCI Cross-member.
    P1033654.jpg

Unfortunately, after installing the cross-member, the shroud no longer wanted to fit. So I had to trim the part of it that was butting up against the cross-member. After trimming, it fit perfectly.
    P1033655.jpg

The rest was fairly straight forward. Although I did run into another unforeseen issue. When you secure the skid plate itself, you're provided these long bolts that go through cross supports. However, on the Driver's side (Pic below) there is a steel curved bar that is there to keep the exhaust from bumping around and hitting the heat shield above. (Unless I'm mistaking its purpose) Anyway, it makes it a PITA to install the nut that holds your long bolt. I eventually got it done, but if I had the proper time, I would have removed that protector bar temporarily.

No photos of the final product, but I promise that if I roll my truck over, I will take a photo for everyone to see the RCI skid plate! :)
