I do have a unicorn Taco, if judging TW standards. The OE tunes were pretty good and MPGs were beyond my expectations. I was just digging the features that @OVTune published for 1.05.

I will do DTC resets in the future as it will be quicker than the battery disconnect thing.

Nice. Just realize DTC reset is NOT clearing learned values, that is for trouble codes.

There is an actual clear learned values feature in the new FM.

I’ve always felt my truck was special because I have had next to zero issues I hear about on this forum :anonymous: .

All tunes except the performance tunes ran well on my rig, but the 91 base is simply awesome for me.

Same here. I ran a few tanks each of 87 FOB, 91 FOB on 92, and 87 Base. I'm a Base man. I will see what these Hybrid tunes bring.

I’m going to go one step further and ask what’s your overall setup on the truck? (lift/tire size, rack/shell on the bed, size of truck, etc...) Asking because I’m trying to research more into which re-gear ratio I should be doing on my DCLB.

How fast are you going? Ive done multiple trips to Phoenix and I have no problems at all with gear hunting on 4.88 and 91 Base. Truck likes being at 70, otherwise it's just a waste of gas going over.

87 and 93 were very similar for me, but they did settle after an initial aggressive period

I got my kit yesterday and applied the stumble TSB with zero issues using tech stream and tactrix. I drove it to work and back today, about 40 miles round trip through the hills of west Austin, and after the TSB it drove much better. I didn’t have to put the pedal to the floor to get up some steep hills.

I got home and decided to go straight to 93 base as my starting point. I applied the tune with zero issues and did a quick drive around the neighborhood just for fun. I’ll give it a long test this weekend and see how 93 base works for me but so far happy with the software and tuning experience.

I will note that I had to switch to 2017 in the OV tune software to get access to the 04B04 tunes - even though my truck is a 2016. I opened a service desk ticket last night for this and Matt responded promptly which is great! After Matt responded I remembered this tip from the tutorial video I watched a month ago.

I don’t see clear learned values under pcmflash for the dongle user. Is that something that’s going to be added later for dongle users or am I missing something?

Drop down to 33’s and I’ll bet it would be better.

I noticed an rpm change just going a 1/2” bigger from 265/75/16 to 255/75/17

I might do that or just swap out the 4.88's to 5.29's

I just had the same issue into a headwind. My wife said, what the hell is wrong with your truck? I finally just stuck it in 4th and ended up 9.8 mpg after 100 miles running 3800 rpm's granted I was pulling a aluminum trailer with an ATV. Still ridiculous. Ect still wouldn't keep it in 5th, so I did 4th without ect. Running 91 performance with 4.88's. Also hoping for gearing and tire tune!
