The World Series was hosted there in 1989, you could actually see when the Loma Prieta Earthquake hit it on live TV.

Yeah I was 11 at the time and was watching that world series. I was a Giants fan by default because of the Niners but then became a diehard Expos fan when I really started getting into basebal

You can basically get into an A’s game for free. Attendance has been down the past few years. I got tickets for free just by completing some kids survey in the back of the magazine about four years ago.

Yeah I guess Brady has now done it for two decades against the best the NFL can throw at him.... Dude plays out of his mind. Not a fan necessarily but damn if you don't respect what he's done and even more so against the talent nowadays. The players now are the greatest athletes in sports. It's nutz

I loved the movie Moneyball. Made me like the A's a little bit too.
Go as much as you can dude... I've never heard anyone regret going too often to games but I hear people say I wish I would've went there more/done that more etc

They used to hand out Charlotte Bobcats tickets for free through my school district. Guess it was the only way they could fill the arena. Then they changed the name back to the Hornets and the old fan base came back. No more free tickets.

Hornets franchise moved to New Orleans after the Jazz went to Utah. I think the Bobcats were a whole new franchise that took the Hornets name back after NO changed to the Pelicans. But dont quote me on that, I dont really pay attention to the NBA.

Edit: Per Wikipedia, Im right. 2 different franchises, Micheal Jordan changed the name back when he bought the Bobcats a few years back after the NO team became the Pelicans.
