Good Morn all... Doing some budgeting and wondering what y'all are paying for new tire installation (inc. balancing), while keeping stock TPMS, in the ATX area? Also, how about cost for alignment?

Question for the group, because this is what I'm pissing my time away on today...



I got a request for even more cash on Thursday from the IRS, for the interest on the amount that should have been taken out of our checks or paid in, in estimated payments last year. My question to you wise individuals is based on the fact that the IRS know exactly how much was taken out, and paid in, in estimated taxes, and they also know what the tax bill shows on our return. A and B, in other words. Wouldn't it be much easier for them to just do the A/B calculation themselves, and if the result is 0.80 or above, they NOT send me an annoying letter and force me to prove myself innocent?

Ladies and gentlemen, we get the government we deserve.

 

Did you get a w2 or a 1099? Sometimes you still owe tax but that would've been calculated at the end of the yr and you'd see how much you still owe.

 

W2. This is all due to the tax plan change, and we lost a buttload of state and local tax writeoffs, resulting in a big tax bill. Just finished up the math, and the 80% barrier I needed to exceed, to qualify for the waiver? We're at 114%. Of course, it's nice to not have to pay in even more, but like I said, the IRS has all the numbers I used in my calculations, so they could have just as easily figured it out themselves and saved the stamp. Of course, I now have a headache, after the mental gymnastics to 'cipher through the instructions, so maybe they are banking on most people not doing the work.

Sam’s club includes all of that in the tire price, so...whatever the tires cost.

Haven’t bought tires from anywhere else for...Lord, 20 years.

 

Roughly $15-$20 per tire to mount n balance, then alignment ranges from$60-$100 for one time alignment
