4 hrs to remove bed decals

Glad mine didn't have stickers. $10 heat gun from Harbor Freight usually does the trick.

I do have flatt black decal to replace with the same pen style just debating to put it on or not

 

Decide soon, if you wait too long to do it the paint surrounding the decal will fade.

 

How long is too long to wait? Bought new about 10 months ago.

I think using heat made mine too soft. Once I put away the hair dryer, they came off much faster. Was in my garage too so not warmed up by the sun.

 

Don’t know exactly, I’m sure where you park your truck, how much time it spends in the sun exposed to the elements matter. Wish I knew exactly. My best uneducated guess is roughly 18-24 months but I could be off by a mile.

 

Next time use your hands and not your feet...save yourself 3 1/2 hrs.!

 

My B-pillars took forever too. They might not have been hot enough. Still worth it whatever the case.

Do it soon or don't do it at all. You'll end up with ghost decals when the paint fades.

 

But everyone says that decals add about 15 horespower???

 

It was not that long for me, but still worth the effort even at 4hrs.

 

Unless someone else is paying you hourly to do theirs then take your time.

The thread title pulled me in because I assumed you were hammered drunk during those 4 hours.... but looks like not. O well, guess I’ll keep drinking on my own. It’s 3 o’clock somewhere.

Took 30 mins for mine with the wife’s hair dryers. On a cold day.
