I have bought a lot of wire from Audiopipe (???) And it's been stranded copper for a decent price.

Nope, that's Copper Clad Aluminum. I used to use their wire a lot, 90% of the wiring in my truck is Audiopipe/Best Connection.

Go take a piece of that wire and cut it. Look at the cross section and you'll see it's only clad with Copper, the conductor is Aluminum.

Go to any auto parts store and ask for "12 or 14 Gauge automotive stranded copper wire". They sell them in little 5-10 foot rolls.

 

Autozone or Napa then

Yeah I think they have 100' rolls for $30 too now that I looked a little better. If I'm going to spend that much I'd just as soon wait and spend it towards some multi-color set of decent stuff.
