    Does anyone have theirs? I am going to take the test in a few weeks and I just wanted to know how hard it is or what it is like!

    Its pretty easy if you studied. If your test was like mine they will use trick questions like "Why shouldn't you eat ink toner?"
    A. Its a carcinogen
    B. Its poisonous

    I forgot what C and D were but questions like that piss me off....they need a "because its dumb" option. Other than that just take a deep breathe and get it done, it is an entry level cert and shouldnt be too hard for you.

    Yea it is just the basic A+ certification and it cost about 350! So if I pay that much I want to pass! More possible questions would be great guys! Also, any key points I need to study would be good!

    Is this for PC repair only ? Or is networking included ? (kinda doubt it)

    If for repair ya need to know your hardware basics ,beep codes & what they mean, dead system troubleshooting all the little shit most people have forgotten, I've built blade rack cluster servers with 128 nodes etc;

    I've been "studying" for my A+ for the past few months too. I'd like to take the exam this fall sometime, but I gotta find more time to study or this is going to take forever.

    I'll tell you whats funny, I'v worked side by side with software engineers,high end programmers ,Admins. etc; that were absolutely clueless as to the very basics of hardware peripherals, configuration, BIOS configuring & BIOS flashing & upgrades, it was amusing having the 6 figure income guys watch in amazement as the 5 figure income guy (me) do a simple fix like no video,bad ram, misplaced jumper just the ABC's of PC operation...:D

    I took mine like 5 years ago right before they changed to where you can choose if you want it to be based on help deak stuff or onsite stuff... Either way I thought it was pretty easy. I studied alot for it though. I can say Ive only referenced the shit I learned from it about 5 times in the last 6 years of computer consulting. Very basic shit.

    Because they are missing one key thing that total egg heads normally lack... A little gem called common sense. :)

    I've had mine since January, just pretty straight forward questions about hardware and windows. There are a few websites that offer example exams for about $30 which contain pretty much the same kind of questions you'll get on the exam.

    I jumped past that one and did the MCSE and RHCE, the Red Hat one was the hardest test, three parts one written the other two were hands on type.
