Hoping someone can give me an answer I didn’t find exactly what I needed skimming through a couple pages, I have 285/75 on 16’s stock Rims. Has anyone been able to successfully throw on some 4” lift spindles ? Trying to get away from a coil spacer I have on. I also have 1.5” wheel spacers currently on. Info appreciated !!

 

I believe with the wheel spacers you have your wheels should clear the spindle. Front is going to be wider than the rear though.

 

Have you personally done it jimmy ? Trying to be fairly certain before I pull the trigger.?

 

Personally. No. However I've seen a few people post on here about running 16s with 4.5 inch backspacing. You're best bet is to find out the back spacing of your wheel and subtract 1.5 from it that will give you a clear back spacing number to contrast against the 4.5 back spacing I believe I read somewhere in this thread as well about some people with 16s rubbing the caliper and some didnt have that issue. So I'm assuming that is dependent on the actual wheel itself. Also not sure If you're trying to go bigger in tires as well but if you are look into how much clearance you're tires get as well. Since the sidewalls tend to bulge out some. I'm sure someone else will chime in here...

Edit: For reference the lower the back space the further out the wheel is pushed away from the spindle

I am currently running the spindles with stock offset wheels, 285/75/16's, no spacers,with and with coil overs set to zero preload. No issues. Only time I would be concerned is being air'd down below 15 psi.

 

I've been running the HS progressive AAL with overlord and a 2" block in the rear for a while. That gave me 4" in the rear.

 

Did you re-geared this beast?

 

Not yet, living with stock gears just fine right now

 

Wow! How can you describe the loss of power compared to 285s?

 

My last truck before upgrading. 15 Tacoma with Maxtrac spindle lift. Tires 33x12.5r20

Thank you. I do miss her a lot but, was time to move on.

4 inches I believe ( never truly measured). 4 inch spindle lift with 5100 coils set to 1.75

 

Almost 6" then? That truck was amazing, man!
