    Yup, I went there and $160 - didn't check freight - for steel. Currently out of stock. I'd spray it with one rattle can liner and probably be fine. Down the road!

    Personally, I'd splurge on a powdercoated steel one. I use my tailgate a lot and I don't think spray paint would hold up to my abuse lol.

    I use it a surprising amount, but it's never brutal. On our original 1988 X-Tra Cab, I sprayed the whole bed and gate with rattle liner, effectively two coats, and it held up incredibly well! One can would probably give that plate an easy three coats. Now, I know some of y'all are a little more....."brutal".... than I!

    House Mod for the month, as I have to balance all the truck mod stuff (cost or no!), travel stuff, and things you convince me I need!

    Just ordered a complete SimpliSafe security to replace all my existing (formerly ADT) stuff. With a new video doorbell, and a cam, and all the existing sensors I already had. About $600 to replace, but if I monitor, wife will save about $20 a month, so..... It'll all be here in about a week, and I will install when we get back from Mizzou graduation...

    So, since I know you will mod anything, I will be glad to let anyone that cares know how it all installs and works in a bit!
