Ha ha, I was in my 2002 OR on a curvy mtn road in a area with no turnouts with a little Celica tailgating me and I came around a corner with a big rock in the middle of the lane. I only had time to straddle it so the rear diff didnt hit it and was going about 45mph, hoping the axle would clear and it did.

Then I heard the Celica hit it and drag it to a stop!! It tore open the oil pan and bottom of his car. I offered him a ride to town and we did not say a word about what happened the whole way. He was swearing to himself when I left I bet!

hello wound heres some salt ;) I was by myself but I was in the mountains of southern Idaho and drove down this road below a dam, went down the road a few miles and turned around came back up and this huge boulder about the size of my car was almost blocking the road. So apparently somewhere in the 3 or so miles I drove down and came back up this boulder fell in the road. I dont know by how far it missed me but still makes me wonder how close I was to getting hit by it.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
What a$$hats! That just sucks. I deal with this kinda driving all day everyday here in ATL.
I stopped riding my motorcycle period in this two after being hit a couple times.
What’s worse is people not only tailgate you like a mutha here, they will sure as $hit pull over in front of you with no room to do so and no signal.
Driving shows peoples real mental issues, and there are a lot of people with them!
Glad your family is well, and the dog wasn’t launched into the windshield. Time to strap that puppy down in the back. I used to let my pooch, roam about in the back. Not any longer, got hit one good and he ended up in the front with me. 80lbs of a meat sack being tossed into me..lesson learned as a kid.

    What part of NC?

Edit, read the rest of the thread. Elizabeth City, nice. When Cherry Point gave up its own SAR Elizabeth City became our provider.

    Enjoy the outer banks!

The front proves that you didn't stop for no reason, which can be trouble in some states. A jury can determine percentage of fault in my state in civil suits.

There are none of those in hawaii

Unless it’s a Hawaiian or Samoan… bet that plan changes.

Friendly tip, don’t flip anyone off in Hawaii either. In fact you’d be better off not bringing the road rage with you from the mainland- it will not end well.

If someone hits your parked vehicle and takes off, you’ve good a chance of recording the license plate, and everything you need to prosecute a hit-n-run.

Exactly what happened to my work truck.
Dash cam caught it all. Her text was more important than looking as she's turning. Some drivers licenses need to get revoked.

    Exactly.
Cheap dash cams have VERY bad rear camera. So bad that you can't make out anything on the license plate.

Nice footage. I usually run a dash cam. This reminds me to put it back in the truck. Took it out while cleaning a few weeks ago. Need to get it back in there.

Glad you and your fam are okay!
