Is there any real benefit to using those hood protectors or bug shields? Other than bugs obviously

rock chips on the hood is the main thing imo, bug guts wash off, chipped paint rusts over time if not tended too in a timely manner
they do have permanent film to protect the paint if the plastic protector is not a good look

My hood has started a little bit of surface rust, not sure what to do about it though

my trucks been mostly an interstate highway truck and been behind a tractor trailer throwing sand, etc. up which is probably why my windshield had a million chips in it before i got it replaced but the hood and corners in great condition

some may not like these interiors, some may not like other interiors after redesign
some may consider the first 2.5 years as vintage, some may consider them archaic

have you ever driven a chevy s10 of the early '90s?
that is where my experience comes from comparing the Tacoma truck

I just checked my interior stash pile and unfortunately I don't have one of those either for ya. But nice build man, the screaming below 50° is your speedometer cable BTW

Sometime lubing the cable up will fix it, but if it's been doing it that long I bet it's eaten some of the lining away so I'd just get a new cable. They're pretty cheap anyway

Nice looking truck! That bumper sitting in the garage is going to make one mean front end, especially with those big tires! I want my truck to drive 350,000 miles, that's pretty awesome
