yesterday i bought a new on peice drive shaft from boone iron works, 66.2 miles after install it twisted in half in the center. my transmission is not locked up and my rear end is not locked up, however i have a 100 tow fee a effed up exhaust and a need for a new fuel tank, aswell as an obliterated u joint from where the shaft acted as a pole to launch the end of the truck in the air. and i expect them to pay for it.

what can cause one to fail like that, its bent to one side so the wrecker operator thinks they forgot to balance it because it had no weights on it. it also was not rubbing or even close to anything

anyother damage i can look for, it happened over 200 miles from home so i had to borrow my dads truck...now i have a 200 more mile trip with my gf following me in my moms car

did you personally install it, or have someone else do it? It may be hard to fight if it wasn't done by a "professional". Those bastard companies sometimes use loophole BS like that

Good point, however if it was missing the counter weights then I would think he has a good case.

I know its not hard to install one, but the legal loopholes could get ya there. Best of luck though! Im sure they'll probably at very least send you a new drive shaft.

By the way I used to be from Charlotte, went to UNCC. but i just moved to Texas

Yep you'll probably go to small claims over this because they're going to say that it was an installation issue on your part.... good luck

LMAO, "It looked fine". That doesn't mean shit. Wheels "look fine" when you spin the lugs on by hand. See how fast they come off the studs down the road. I hope you own his ass. Good luck.

That really sucks. I really hope they do what they should, and at least help you out a bit. Sites like this can really change the way people see a company and its practices.

what the name of the company... maybe we should all tell them they lost alot off business in the offroad community if they leave you hanging. Is it a big shop or small mom pop shop?
