Giving her a look over today to order some cleaning/de-rusting supplies. Wisconsin winters are hell! Any thoughts for aluminum corrosion on my shocks? And this is after a very thorough fluid film application.

So this turned into a big FAIL this morning. I ended up having a bubble that I was trying to push out and the vinyl wrinkled and got damaged. At this point I'm just going to paint it.
If I was to try it again I would do 2 things differently. 1. I left the vinyl out in the unheated garage last night. While it wasn't necessarily cold, it was cool enough that the vinyl was kind of stiff even though I was using a hairdryer to warm it up to stretch it out and I think if it had been a bit warmer this might not have been the case. 2. I would have reinstalled the grill insert into the surround to stiffen the surround out some. This would have made it a bit easier to stretch the vinyl over the surface.

Vinyl can be tricky. Never used that brand but I've found that 3M Scotchprint is a lot easier to work with than since off the cheaper stuff off Amazon. I'd use a heat gun instead of a hair dryer because the hair dryer blows too much air. You've got to be careful with the heat either way because you can warp the vinyl if you leave it in one spot too long

Figured out my wiring for the navigation/camera/Bluetooth/cruise.
Now I need to start making connections after seeing how long the wires need to be.
When that's done I can start the wiring for my CH4X4 switches.

Over the past 2 weeks installed OME 95R leafs, new shackles w/Dobinsons greaseable bolts and U-bolt flip w/Timbren bump stops.

2 out of 3 leaf spring bolts are now Dobinsons. Top (3rd) bolt rubbed on the shackle mount when flexed so they got replaced back to OE.

I would have actually used some 3M material but they didn't have any in matte black that was 1.5 feet wide. I was afraid the 1 ft wide pieces were going to come up just a hair short.
I have a heatgun but I read that for a first timer a hairdryer might be a better idea since it should be a little more forgiving since the air wouldn't be quite as hot.

Did a spare rim mod (wheeling with no spare tire = highly-inadvisable). Spare tire got stolen not too long ago, so looking to get 5 new tires for a 5-tire rotation soon. See-saw flex to see rear flexibility :D
