    Well yeah getting rid that k&n crap was a good first step lol.

    When you do your test runs if you don't have an AFR gauge yet, back off the throttle immediately if you hear any pinging.

    It made an oily mess of my intake, could be that and the EGR.

    Question, why did you keep your EGR?

    I disconnect the tubing and power and put the large pulley back on. It passed just fine 2 months ago

    TRD actually claim(ed) that a second of pinging upon WOT was normal but I think they meant a faint ping or two...if its bad you'll know it almost immediately after you step on it.

    I dealt with bad pinging for over a year and just drove as carefully as I could but there are times when it was unavoidable. Had to replace my cats eventually. Its alot better now with the 7th but it'll still happen under certain conditions if I'm not careful.

    It won't blow your motor up quickly if you acknowledge it's there and drive accordingly. The people that blow up their engines running lean are the ones that continue to push WOT/ maximum boost despite the pinging
