Usually, this means he ate something that hung up in the digestive tract someplace. More often than not, it will work its way through

Here's a picture of Riley when he was 7w old.

And now that he's a year old.

He's been through the barf/squirt thing a few times but he's mostly over it now--he just chews it up and spits it out :)

Labs are great dogs! Mine was a piece of cake to train and he's a great friend.

There are many good lab rescue organizations that can help find a dog and a few good sites to get more info. You might start here for more info.

Also, should you choose a breeder, you can always opt for a "pet" quality dog. Mine is a "pet" quality and there's nothing wrong with him except he's exceedingly good looking and the ladies love him :)

    Good luck!

I was really worried, cuz he passed out and flopped over on his side, and then wouldn't get up. Thankfully he is back to 100% now.

Doesn't look like it here but he's not feeling well, been laying around all day even outside and hasn't pooped since 9am, though now at 9pm he tried a lil but was runny and got all over him and wasn't much at all. Makes me worry :(

Just give him a little time...change in weather or just about anything could affect him....(didn't change his food did you or what about table scraps) Besides they get sick just like we do....Keep feeding him and make sure he has plenty of clean fresh water....

Thank you :)..and of course we never quit, they love us for that. I feel so lucky that Georgie came out of her shell so easily, she wasn't abused but was neglected.

Ain't that the truth LOL. They are really a lot alike and I've always had a thing for Boxers. Looking at some pics of Boxer mixes online we think Chubby could have been part Boxer, I found some that looked exactly like him.

If he's not feeling well, don't give him any food, but plenty of cool water for 24 hours.

You don't want to be putting more in him, when it's not coming out

Keep him inside - the heat might be bothering him.

If he's not better by now, take his temp and if it's up, take him to the doc. Bear in mind a dogs normal temp is 101 - 102*

    Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks for the input guys. Didn't change his food same as always, hasn't been too hot here and he's been inside mostly. He didn't poop again this morning and he'll be home alone a few hours. I may go check on him on my lunch break.

If he's not drinking or eating or is lethargic, I would take him to the vet.

Hes eating and drinking. Just isn't pooping near as much, but pees normal. He'll lay around then get a burst of energy and run around then lays down again for awhile

Meet Chopper. He belonged to a high school friend who could no longer keep him because she moved into an apartment. So now he's with me :)

If he's not pooping you need to stop his food. If he has a blockage, he doesn't need more food in there.

Dogs don't show pain like people do.... keep up posted.

Thanks...he is a big lop of love. Since he was a puppy he has always been around other people & animals. Not a drop of bad in his blood (except for peeing on my BBQ)
