Ok so light output low beams is amazing. Hi beans suck. But same went for the last set of Osram 55w bulbs I had before. I think Osram just makes shitting high beams. But the low beams are great.

High beam output is HID level in lumens. I think it just might be low beam is concentrated and high beam is more scattered/distributed. Since H4s are a dual filament bulb, you don’t get to keep low beam on while turning on high beam like some dual bulb vehicles.

Makes sense. Plus the fogs cut out when the highs are on. I'd like to make the fogs independent of the headlights or even make em running lights.

I appreciate the lead and I'll definitely have to study it and see if I can use that as a jumping off point

Got my new headlight assemblies. It's amazing how pretty these things are when they're new! Now I just have to install them. Wanted to get that done this weekend, but it's supposed to rain here.
Interestingly, these new lights do have a polycarbonate lens. I hope these hold up better than the originals.

So I ordered the GE nightlight 120s on April 27th. Just received them today and installed them (no harness) in place of the hid lights that came with the truck when I purchased it. Seem like a lot more concentrated light than the scattered hid's. Have yet to see their performance at night though. Eager to find out!

HIDs is a H4 reflector will have horrible scattered light and awful glare. The GEs will be far more focused with a night and day difference in cut offs from your previous setup.

Yeah, I was never impressed with the headlights that whoever installed before on this truck. The high beams were not hid, and were less effective than the lows/fogs combo.

@crashnburn80 What is the best H4 low beam lamp running the aftermarket harness? I have the Headlight Services Harness and Osram 100/90 right now.

    Hello Taco-community!
I've spent a couple days looking for info on upgrading my cheap halogens but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I just purchased a 2019 Taco SR5 Double Cab with chrome rear bumper caps, no NAV model. I'm looking to upgrade my low/high beams w/ fogs to a modern look. I don't really want an overkill of a beam that annoys other drivers when I'm behind them. What do you guys recommend? Thanks in advnace guys!

Replacing my corroded fog light sockets. Does it matter that these 2 sets of wires are a different guage?

It just means the ones closer to the fogs will burn off first in the event of a massive short :D. No in all reality it's such a short distance between them it doesn't matter. In electrical work we would even allow 3 meters as a tap conductor. The fuse protects the wire, not the device.

OK Thanks! I'm going to screw something up here I can feel it. Electrical stuff is not my strong point.

Using larger wires isn’t harmful, it is smaller wires that you want to avoid which may reduce voltage and performance. However LEDs are less affected. Your setup looks fine!
