To swap the pulley on the 2.7L s/c you have to remove the fan shroud and unbolt the radiator. Some guys completely remove the radiator. I was able to unbolt it and position it so that I could get that puller tool in there while leaving the hoses connected. It’s a bit of a PITA but is doable.

Depending on the pulley you’re using, there’s also the issue of how to hold it in place while loosening or tightening it. That’s an issue with any charger. I ended up using an old belt and a oil filter wrench to hold it in place

 

Is the blower new or the colt to the blower? either way...that’s sweet!

 

What pulley did you end up running?

 

It’s the URD 5.5 Pulley I believe.

 

You actually measure the inside pulley points were the pulley goes on to either side

 

No I think 5.5 is the amount of boost it gives you.

 

How much boost are you actually getting with it?

 

I have no idea, I’m still removing the naturally aspirated intake. I’m in the middle of installation.

In Chicago it was -10 then add windchill and now its -30. But then we add a lil lake effect snow to make driving a slice..

 

No, a pulley is measured by size, NOT boost, even if it says a certain boost.

The same pulleys boost at sea level will be different than the same pulley at 10,000 feet

 

I don't even know what it is with wind chill when it's -20 to -30. Too cold though

 

I think I'm going to pick up this kit and cut that bit and the rear bedside. I have a gnarly rusted up dent from (what looks to be) a decade or more ago.

Regardless, I like the simplicity of this rear bumper. Glad I subbed to this thread.

 

I think they discontinued it finally but URD made a 2.5" that made 5psi on my setup. But I had a pretty new free flowing head and really open exhaust. So he might see 5.5 to 6 maybe he's a bit lower than me for altitude

 

I’m exactly at sea level. They did discontinue it I can’t find it on their site.

 

I understand that, especially living at 5000ft. That’s why I was asking how much actual boost was being made.

 

hah, figured out why my steering wheel was crooked.

Even though the alignment shop got my alignment done perfectly, they didn't torque down the top nut on the SPCs and one side had come loose. The camber was way off. Just fixed it in the driveway and now it's straight again.

I'm not 100% sure they messed with the SPCs (they said they'd use them if they needed to) but I did adjust them myself the day before, but I torqued both sides down to 150 ft/lbs like the instructions say. I checked the other side too this afternoon and it was starting to get loose, needed to be re-torqued as well.

Guess I'll have to keep an eye on them...that means I wheeled and drove 100 miles home on the highway with my camber way out of whack yesterday.

 

Reinstalled the gas tank in the single cab. Look over and..
