It's a nice awning, a CVT 99" one in tan. I'd have to think about what I'd want for it price wise.

Are you thinking of getting a Softopper or Bestop?

I prefer the Bestop because it has side windows and doesn't intrude into the bedspace at all. However, it's a bit of a PITA to fold down because you have store the windows and back panel somewhere (in cab / at home). Also, in my experience so far, the rails aren't the most secure driving around with the shell up and the windows/back out. The rail clamps that came with my used Bestop were low quality. I haven't done any driving without the windows/back since I upgraded the rail clamps, so I can't say if they stay in place better now.

Edit: If the Bestop canopy is folded down when it rains, it because a massive water bag.

 

I was wanting the softtopper. Reason being is I'm already used to having a massive blind spot there from my solid windoors, and then I don't have to deal with the windows. My wife had a jeep for a little bit and those windows are so finicky and scratch so easily.

Yeah. The Softopper seems to be more popular based on the amount of info/threads on the forum, but I didn't want to give up the passenger blind spot visibility. I did like the look driving around without the windows/back, but the rails kept pulling out of the clamps at the tailgate.

 

I've been on the fence between going with a cap or a bed rack. What were you thinking price wise of your cap and prinsu?

 

$800 firm if I were to separate the awning. I feel like that's pretty fair.

 

I believe I do at the shop but can't get to it for a few days. My son is having surgery tomorrow afternoon. I don't know yet when I'll be back to work either. If you are in a hurry for it, I may be able to get one of my coworkers to find it for you and he could give it to you provided you go to the shop in Sterling to get it

Yes. He's getting better. We've had him up walking the halls in the trauma unit the past two days...slowly and with help, but walking. His memory and thinking are clearer each day too.

 

Thank god, that's a huge relief to hear.

 

You aren't kidding...I do believe I've cried more tears in the past week than I have my whole life. Can't believe how close we came to losing him. I don't know how people deal with losing a child...and my son is 26. But he is still my kid

 

Yeah I can't even imagine. I've been lucky enough to never have to deal with a loss of a loved one. I'm just glad it didn't go the other direction.
