I’ve seen all the ones on fbmp. If I’m spending that kind of money I’d rather have a fiberglass one that flows a little better.

 

Debating on this still. Should I burn these hi lift mounts on to the swing out? It opens up the bed a bit which I like but I’m on the fence for some reason.

 

Why is it at an angle? I personally think it looks goofy. Dont want it to be horizontal?

 

Not a fan. Looks awkward with the heavy end up high. Is there enough room for the jack to be parallel to the top bar with mechanism near the drivers tail light?

 

Well too late. It’s burned in. Lol. That’s the only way it would physically fit behind the tire and not block a tail light.

 

Can you reverse it? Put the heavy end down like Leman said

 

Nope. It’s all for a reason. That end can’t be positioned high enough to not interfere with the taillight or the tire.

 

Scrap the truck. Part out.

 

I removed the foot on the hi lift and it looks better I’d say. Flipped it around.

 

When you use the tire to hide the whole thing in your photo it looks great...

 

Never said the hi lift was for looks. If I can carry it outside my bed and hide it, that’s a win for me.

Oh. The angle is the same. The lifting mechanism is just flipped toward the tail light with the foot removed.

 

Me and @Brian422 hit up some trails in the Birmingham area today. I didn’t have enough time to explore, but we had a lot of fun. I’ve driven by then for years and never even knew what was back there.

I think the real morals of the story is never have someone weld for you that isn’t going to do the grinding... cough @Jerneyman cough.

Bumper is coming out pretty well. I did grab my neighbors welder to fill in a few low spots.
