Common sense or not instructions say reset LV with engine running. I asked Mat to verify. He said:

Turns out ‘Reset LV’ has to be done with engine off.

I flashed 1.05.1 93 performance (yes I had bad shudder) from 1.05 87GL and drove it. Tip in is gone.
I also got "unsuccessful LV Reset" with engine running but everything seems great. I only drove a couple miles but she shifted like a dream.

I also thought that the tip in was gone from 87 GL. I didn’t find any necessity to feather the throttle. Might be just a placebo effect. Mat didn’t mention removal of tip in.

Also, Reset LV will work with ignition on, engine off, same as flashing. Reset AT works either way.

Interesting. I’ve been running 93 base happily for months. I flashed 93 performance on Friday just to feel the ridiculous tip in again and to be able to compare to the anticipated 93 performance without ridiculous tip in. Tonight I flashed 93 base 1.05.1 because I thought the tip in wasn’t fixed. Anyone else have comments on the performance tip in of 1.05.1?

When updating with the newly released tune, do I need to delete and re-download the particular tune that I am using in my downloads? Or does it update the current tune when I hit update in the flash manager, and then just flash?

I flashed 1.05.1 87GL, a performance tune, and did not feel the tip in that I found with 1.05 87GL in Feb. Tip in fixed? Seems like it is but won’t know for sure: @OVTune ?

I think there’s more to 1.05.1 than just a “bumpy road fix.” I’ve been running 1.05 91 Base for thousands of miles. Loaded 1.05.1 91 Base this morning. I never had a shudder or bumpy road feeling, but did have a weird rpm drop after the upshift to 3rd during normal acceleration. It is now much less noticeable on 1.05.1.

Hoping for more feedback on Performance tip in or confirmation from @OVTune. Will be flashing 1.05.1 Performance 93 if so. :bananadance:

Noticing this on 93 Base as well. One more reason to flash 1.05.1 even though my Taco doesn't shudder.

Might be as simple as connecting the tactrix to your computer. It should appear in FM after the first connect.

I’ve been noticing a strange misfire feeling when accelerating Up the on ramp entering the freeway. Comes on around 3,000 RPM. If I keep my foot steady I can make it keep doing it until I either increase pedal input or decrease. I think the speeds are around 50-55 when it does this. Is this what everyone is calling Shudder? @OVTune 1.05 87base

Uh, common sense has nothing to do with it. Been in IT for over 40 years and learned a long time ago to follow the instructions exactly, even if it seems a bit strange, and this was what the developer said:

"Yes. After flashing the update, you will need to reset the AT and LV values in the ECU.
    Perform it this way:
    1. Flash the truck. After completion, start the truck.
    Run flash Manager P5Flash Utility
Select "Reset LV" after completion select "Reset AT"
    After completion you are finished."

So after that didn't work I tried another approach and was successful and I thought I'd offer it as a suggestion to help others (Unlike your worthless post) if they ran into the same thing.

Thanks for that explanation. Strange thing is I've only started noticing it for the last couple Months. 20k on the rig and mechanically everything is sound. Is there a reason not to try 1.05.1?

Give the update a shot. It isn't going to hurt anything to try and worst case, you can always flash back to whatever you're on now.

Throttle tuning has not been modified on 1.05.1, however tip in will likely feel different due to torque converter changes.
