Why not get one that plugs into the cig outlet that's meant for it. I have one I got at walmart for $15 and it works like a charm and it's fast.

well it's a towable inner tube. So I need to fill it up really full and tight.

Looks like I have to find one of those 12v versions instead. Maybe the kind that clamps onto the battery. I think they push more air than the ci outlet version.

The wally world special one does 1 psi which doesn't sound like much but for a towable it's enough. That's what I use mine for. If you want more I believe westmarine has one that's good for 2 or 3 psi.

If you get one for a cigarette ligher outlet you can use it on the boat and not fillup until you are ready to use the tube. My tube is huge and it's a pita to strap it down so I just stow it in the ski locker and fill it up when I'm ready. It takes like 5 minutes and I'm ready to play.

Not that that isn't a good suggestion it just with tubes you only fill them a couple psi and it's huge volumes. A tire pump would take forever to fill it up. I know because I made the mistake of bringing a bicycle pump and it took 4 people rotating about an hour to fill up. Even with my 12 gallon air compressor at home it takes about 10ish minutes.

if you dont mind me asking, what tube do you have? I'm still searching for a tube that will work for us.

Something easy to pull and ride on. Needs to be able to support a single adult weighing 160-220lbs.

    I was leaning towards this.

But it might be a little too big....

6.3 amps x 120v = 760 watts. Inverter is what, 500 watts max? No, wont' do it.

OEM running boards and roof rack. Yellow fog bulbs and WeatherTech mats and window visors.
I used a very small air pump this past weekend to fill about 10 rafts and tubes and ran it about 30 min without issue. Worked very well and impressed some people that didnt know jack about our beloved trucks

Hahahaha. That's the exact one I have. It will hold 3 smaller people or 2 bigger ones easily. It has lots of handles but I would not reccomend it. Before it planes it has a tendancy to dig and go underwater:eek:. You have to lean back when going slow. I like to just go slow and relax sometimes and it can't be done easily on this tube. I would have to say it's really fun for the more aggresive stuff though and those headrests things help to push off of and lean into the turns.

Oh and the tube is huge and that's why I have it deflated and stored in the ski locker until use.

If I were to purchase another tube it would be like this

    http://www.overtons.com/modperl/pro...elly_Mega_Wing_Towable&aID=600G4&merchID=4006

My friend has one and it's fun but can be relaxing at slower speeds and is easy to stay on.

lol what a coincidence. Hmmm, looks like I need to find something smaller.

That new one you're looking at is even bigger! 8 feet wide!

Hmmm, I wonder how about this one.

The O'Brien Screamer. I cant really decide if I like the 60" version or go for the bigger 70" version.....

Can you lay down like in a cockpit position in this style of tube?

With the flat style it's best to go belly down. You could get the one I posted in a 2 seater version which sould be smaller. I just like being able to sit down and it's a nice and easy going ride. The size doesn't matter to me as long as I can stuff it in the ski locker and not have to tie it to the back of the boat.

bummer. Too bad they dont make an adult single seat version.

Then again, I'm not too worried about speed. It's being pulled by a Merc 60 4-stroke motor in a 16.5' boat.
