badass. but why did you stop halfway? maybe do the top half color matched linex? it looks good, but half finished. +1 to the others who suggested doing the bumpers too.

im considering doing something very similar to my sv650. matte green with bedliner on the tanksides for grip. thanks for the nudge to get it done.

I don't like it. I think you went to high, but rep for you for having the balls to do it. Did it turn out the way you wanted it.

Sorry, but that looks redneck retarded. And like everyone said, you just ruined the resale value of your truck.

Those pictures make me sad. :(

I like the color contrast with blue and black. I too think you went too high up the doors, but it's your truck. If you offroad at all, I'm sure it will do what it's suppose to do...so nice job.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
looks good. i've wanted to do the same thing every now and then. once it's finished it'll look good. i would have kept the flares though

still saving....definately going with arb front and a rear swing-out. i do have smoked tails. it is hard to see in the pics though.

yes i used duplicolor bed armor. its a roll on type. if this stuff seems high traffic durable im ripping out my carpet and doing that....if the wires wont be exposed. are you referring to the horizontal body lines or the fender bodylines? i needed to go about an 1 3/4" higher than the original flare lines because of scratches and chips and how i bondoed the flare clip holes. and i had some damage that i pounded out which forced me to keep the horizontal line high.

when i get some more time, rustoleum undercoat is taking care of the pinch weld area. all the grommets made me stay away with the bed-liner

do it! just do it! i had to go high but low looks good. if you take off your flares too then might i suggest to keep the body filler edges as close to the inside as possible. we held the flare on and traced it with an adjustable square over the tape, then razored it out. i wish i could have just traced the flares themselves. follows the lines pretty well though.

that would look cool but i wanted it to stand up to off road debris and brush and such. hopefully the kevlar in the bed armor makes it tougher. but i can touch it up whenever.

everyone has their own opinion. im keeping my truck till it dies. then ill resurrect it till it falls apart. then ill bronze it and hang it from my christmas tree.:D

yeah it would look nice but having collapsible parts under bedliner didnt seem like a good idea to me

To each his own I suppose, I hope you like it! I would have gone with a lower line and spray on, maybe even color matched. Power to you though!

I like it, I have so many door dings and scraps from wheeling, and parking at bars in the areas he has covered, would save me a lot of stress not dealing with the little chips on my new truck, well worth the every couple years repaint and upkeep. These are trucks guys give them the dignity of their proud working man heritage where they didnt always have to look pretty.

And I agree with the blacking out alittle more on it to keep up a color theme.

I'll say it again -- I really like it.

Get some of that coating on the rockers under the doors to protect that paint and finish the look. Definitely cool, man. :)
