What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have been using them for years. Awesome product.

 

Finished the entire RCI sliders and skids this weekend, took a little bit. Doing it by yourself is not hard but time consuming.

I picked up the metal up at the factory and they were awesome and gave me a little tour. What a facility!

All in all it was a good week, installed front, transmission, transfer case, fuel tank, rear differential, and lower control arms.

To top it off my wife had this made for me for my birthday this week!

 

And of course, late to the show and they are sold out.

 

It rained all day yesterday and this morning. At lunch scrubbed it down and polished it up. Went to in-laws this evening and the front got covered in bugs on the drive home. Guess I’ll have to clean it again tomorrow.

I used a panel tool to gently pry and pull off the left, center, and right trim panels:



I'm sorry that I didn't take a picture from behind. A few screws hold the AC vents in place. I found out the hard way and added a lot of time to the project because I assumed that they were all the same. They are NOT! Keep them sorted to go back to the same position. The chrome rings have plastic pins that poke through the holes and are melted to hold them in place. With needle nose pliers, I pinched the melted bubble and they snapped off cleanly. After derping the rings and pushing them back into place, I used a drop of epoxy to hold them in.


The cup holder trim ring is held by tabs that are easily popped off from underneath the console. This is for a manual transmission and I have no idea if the automatic is the same or not.

Then just reassemble in reverse order:

 

Update I did a test run on the 4x4 one and I think it turned out pretty well. I will do the others later this week

 

Yes, I call them driving lights because they are white, not amber. Is there a replacement white LED bulb?

Just too much flat black for me. I realized after having aftermarket wheels how much I like these factory wheels.

 

Installed a multi mount from taco garage. Nice product. Well thought out and easy install. I have my spod touch screen, CBI radio holder and phone holder mounted to it.

It was actually two days ago, but since I was banned without any reason or way to contact the mods, couldn’t post then...i think it’s because I didn’t add a pic right away to a FS post. Totally ridiculous. Ever heard of a warning or explanation?

Got my DMM mount installed from The Taco Garage. I only have first impressions to report, but install was novice-friendly enough for those of us like myself NOT good with our hands. Bracket on the top maintains a low profile and swivel mount works well. Thank you @FreshMexicanTaco!

 

If you had actually read the Buy/Sell/Trade rules then you wouldn’t have been banned. The warning was in front of you the whole time.
