Yes ... they are the OEM cast aluminum running boards .... they’re awesome for washing the top of the truck!

I’m not sure why, I’ve noticed this here too. Only 2 access cabs, both OR’s about 10 TRD Sport DCLB’s and 1 SR5 DCLB. Never seen a short bed before at my local dealer. Is there even much of a price difference between the 2 where you are at? When I bought my 18’ I would have only saved about $500-$1000 going with the SR5.

Yes, I will be once I move back to the states in a couple months (currently in Guam). I hear nothing but good things and people constantly say it something they should have gotten at the beginning. I personally don't have too much issue with the gears right now but obviously they could be better. I'm sitting around 16-18 MPGs right now consistently. From the little research I've done, I don't think it's something to pass on if you're having RPM issues.

I’m pretty happy with the truck the way it is, in regards to shifting and RPM. I’m really trying to convince myself to go with 265/70/17’s, but damn the 285’s look so good ! I’m also getting between 20-25mpg’s right now with 265/65 and I really like that. :D

Oh nice, that's pretty good. Those 265's really don't look bad at all once you get some nice wheels to go with them. But I sure do love my 285s :spending:

This is the only one I have at the moment, I’ve got some knock off Sema wheels waiting to go on once I decide on a tire. Yup stock suspension still too, I way switch over to adjustable Bilsteins and an AAL in the back, gonna get the wheels/tires on first, then get a cap and see and it sits with the cap weight and go from there.

I haven't gone to dealers for actual quotes yet. On Toyota (US) website, it looks like the price differece is about $2k (US). Given the relatively fewer number of SR5s than TRDs, I will likely go with the TRD (probably Off Road). I need the hauling capacity more than the offroad features, but we'll see.

My guess is that you see more TRD LB, because the SB in the TRD is a better seller and the LB have just been sitting. With the 2020’s coming out soo , i doubt many dealers are placing new orders if they still have inventory sitting on the lot.

If you can figure out how long the TRD LB have been there, i bet you should be able to get a good price on one comparable to that of the SR5.

Definitely want to re-gear as soon as possible if not at the same time. 4.88s or even 5.29s make it drive like a dream.

I don't understand how anyone can get by with the 5ft bed. It is soooo short. Also the Long Bed just looks so much better. I couldn't event fit my bike in the short bed. One major reason why I could not own a Jeep Gladiator, beds too short.

I agree with everything you just posted, I think they should come out with an Access cab with a 7’ bed :p

Whats everyone preference on tube/nerf bar/step length on the DCLB?

Not sure if i like the ones that stop at the cab (made for a short bed) or the ones that continue to the wheel?

I think i like the look of them just under the cab, but it would be nice to have a step to get into the bed (rather than standing on the wheel).

Also, are the mounting points the same for the DCLB and DCSB rails?

Fyi, this is mostly cosmetic, not looking for sliders for off-roading.
