Y'all say that but that little section was pretty unassuming. We didn't think shit of it but we all ended up having to winch over it. There was like a light dusting of sand on the rock and they were obnoxiously slick.

Trust me, I know the pain. I couldn't get over one and basically had to jump it. My rear flare bares the scars. That rock looked the same way. I didn't think I was getting over it and not a winch point in sight. He said that because I had to back up and basically launch it because my slider wouldn't clear.

We know that unassuming look all too well. The further S and into the mountains you go the more they are like that. It's called a southern bump for a reason. I wish the rock down here was as sticky as some of the stuff out west but it isn't. You probably had the best chance having taller tires time for a front locker

Whenever I regear I probably will. I've been leaning towards that anyways.

Yep one of the reasons I want to go 37s. Also one of the reasons I am looking at doing a lot of hacking to the front of my truck to gain just a couple more inches of GC. Been contemplating a different slider configuration too but not completely sold on that yet though having them stick out further from the body saved me a few times. But having them tighter to the body would benefit on the tight obstacles like at Potts.

When I regear I'll be going front locker probably the harrup one seen more than one issue with the ARB leaking and not locking up but also seen a lot of guys with zero issues. It's a tough decision.

The main issues I've seen has been with the rear locker, but maybe that's just because more people run rear than front.

I won't run a harrop. When they're engaged, if you roll backwards they disengage. It's a weird design. I can show you the video on it if you're interested.

Hmmmmm yeah in your case that would suck ok time to research more on an alternative to the ARB. I know HHG has had a lot of issue with his ARB and I've read it a bunch where they leak air at the seal inside the diff.

TJM makes (or made at one point, not sure if they still do) a rear air locker for our trucks. No idea on the front. It's an air one but it's a slightly different design than ARB and not prone to the same type of leaking. Not sure why more people don't run them.

Hmmmmm interesting. Yeah I will probably be ditching the stock toyota rear and going with an electric locker for the rear. For whatever reason the rear diffs are uber weak compared to the front. Especially with bigger tires.
