When I move into the new house next week I'll rock them. Show the neighbors what's up.

They are going to hate the “braaaaahhhhh” from the impact wrench at 11pm. And they will probably thing you deal drugs as you don't work, single handedly keep the USPS system going with Amazon purchases, have different cars/trucks in your driveway every other day, disappear for days at a time, and you wake up at 11am on weekdays the days you are home. You have drug dealer written all over you Randall

There are several different definitions of what years include millennials. Technically, I would fall into the earliest year range of 1983 to early 2000"s. But, I think a more accurate classification is if the individual falls in the data ranges and had internet their entire life. Most of us early to mid 80's babies did not.

There has be a movement to define those of us that aren't Gen X and refuse to be classified as millenials. Here is a definition.

I also think if you can remember getting your butt kicked by your dad for mouthing off to your mother, you definitely should not qualify as a millennial.

My gripe with the kid in that thread is the very definition of a true millennial. No responsibility, no discipline, no consequences for their actions, and bulldozer parenting.

I make my living dealing with teens and young adults who were raised this way that end up criminals because they can't cope in the real world once they are out on their own.

Let me know, I'm always willing to kick a kids ass for mouthing off to his Mother, or Father.

So what about those of us born in the early 90's that grew up working outside and didn't have internet because our parents didn't need it and didn't want it? I also remember getting smacked more than once for running my mouth.... :smack:

I think you would fall in as a xennial then. The biggest common definition I have found is a millenial lives a completely digital life. I would even argue that should only be late 90's to 2010. I didn't have regular access to the internet until I was in high school. Who knows what they will call our kids...

You literally just described Gen Z. Even we millenials don't want anything to do with those tide pod eating retards. I think the experiences @twheat40 and I had just meant our parents gave a shit.

"According to Forbes (2015), the generation after Millennials, Generation Z, which they defined as people born from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s"

Honestly, I don't think generation matters. The more I look around, there's just shitty people and good people in every generation. The Millennial and Gen Z crowd just has the means to broadcast their stupidity at the speed of light. The squeaky wheel is the one that gets noticed.

I remember an old Gunny one time telling me when I was a cadet at VT: "Thank god we didn't have youtube when I was a kid. The stuff we got away with because no one had a camera to record our stupidity is amazing." Such as a story he regaled me with of stealing an LAR with his hoodrat friends and drunk driving it all over Camp Pendleton.

Millenials are people born from the early 80's to mid 90's. People have often misconstrued the term millenial for some reason getting them confused with the "tide pod eating retards" (gen Z mentioned by @Gunshot-6A)

Especially used in the context of "boomers", I have come to understand they use that term to just generally describe people younger than them that they disagree with.

I agree with parents having the ability to woop any generational stereotyping out of a kid.

I completely agree. I am a firm believer that if today's parents were more involved and cared more and didn't let digital media raise their children, it wouldn't matter what generation the child was from. They'd at least have a fighting chance of being a decent human being.
