I second that question...I'm in dire need of getting away from the "stock" syndrome. She was running some 265/75's in a Goodyear Wrangler until I found all four of these Mitchelin LTX tires on CraigsList for $150.00 a few weeks back (Take Offs at a local Toyota dealership, the cost even included mounting and balancing in the Toyota service bay after hours!). I sacrificed the bump in size and tread pattern for one amazing deal on four of the best tires I have ever owned.

I have the 881's. Get something a little stiffer if you plan on using a winch later on.

I'm glad to know that someone is running them on their Double Cab. At this point and time I have no intention on changing over to an ARB bumper, or adding a winch, I just wondered if they would be stout enough for the extra weight our trucks have over the extended cabs. My goal is to throw the Blisten 5100's all the way around, and an AAL or full OME replacement in the back.

    no truck now :(
Dunno about the 881s.. I'm running the heaviest springs that ToyTec had for their ultimate kit.. 650lb :D I do plan on adding a bumper & winch, so it was warranted. (Rides like a real truck now... stiff as well, yeah.. heh)

If you can afford it.. go full new leafs in the rear.. AALs are cool and do work, but if you've got decent mileage on the OEM springs, it'll only work for so long. Besides, new stuff is always fun to brag about. :)

I agree Matic, she is a clean machine! Seeing as how your Tacoma is a full 365 days older than mine, could you possibly share some of your secrets on how we can all obtain that shine on our Double Cabs?
